Just wanted to say thanks, Nadene absolutely made our night. We felt like it was a bit of a gamble so last minute and knowing nothing about her but she absolutely blew us away with how friendly and efficient she was. The presentation and timing were spot on.

We were able to totally sit back and relax. And then she even left the kitchen clean, so the clean up today was so easy!

‘We have just arrived back from 5 days on Hamilton Island where we celebrated a ‘once in a lifetime’ event with 12 special live-in guests. Back in January we approached Temps Chefs Australia’s Matthew Gimpel and after feeling completely confident in his ability, we contracted Matthew for the event and it was the absolute best decision we could have made. Matthew took all worries out of our hands and forged ahead making connections with all northern supplies choosing only the best quality products and produce while at all times keeping us informed.


Matthew flew up to the Island for the celebration, the kitchen was his kingdom and he proceeded to create unbelievably amazing gourmet menus each day. The guests were treated from breakfast to dinner with a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. The talk of each day was – wow can’t wait to see what the Chef has made for the next meal. Matthew never failed to present delicious meals, plated as if in a 4 hatted Restaurant and the large meal table was always full of laughter and the conversation was always in awe of this young man’s talents. Nothing was ordinary – it was all extraordinary.


Matthew, We cannot thank you enough for your ability and love of your craft. Your quiet, kind and generous personality fitted in perfect with total strangers who now regard you as a friend. All your work behind the scenes for when we slept you were at the marina choosing only the freshest seafood or topping up daily supplies all before creating scrumptious breakfast dishes. Your professionalism is outstanding and your character above reproach. AND you came in on budget.


We now have a memory of those exceptional 5 days that will forever be regarded as one of the highlights of our lives and we have you to thank for taking so much responsibility off our shoulders and allowing us to immerse into carefree fun filled days spent in ‘FOOD HEAVEN’.

“Our field team recently worked in Chinchilla and was accommodated at a local venue where we were introduced Matt and his team by the wonderful selections coming out of the restaurant. When working in the field, food is really important to keep up energy, but it can also affect morale and Matt and his team ensured the most amazing variety of food was available to us for breakfast, crib lunch and dinner to keep us all happy and healthy. Its amazing the difference food makes to the guys attitude and behavior

We were spoilt with grain-fed steaks cooked to order (my blue steak with peppercorn sauce was amazing), mouth-watering buffets over-filled with an amazing selection of hot meals, a salad bar to die for, a nightly cheese and fruit selection (that I know was truly appreciated) and a fully pimped-out crib lunch selection.


Having had worked in hospitality a long time ago, myself, I know it can be hard to work within ever-tightening food budgets and to keep up a variety of fresh, tasty, satisfying meals. I also know true passion for food when I see it and I saw it plenty in Matt’s kitchen. I was impressed with the professionalism, but I was blown away with the passion!
